How Is Basement Waterproofing Done?

Damp basements are not destiny. Negative and positive side wall insulation, crystalline systems and drainage solutions.

Bodrum Katta Su İzolasyonu Nasıl Yapılır?

Basements, in constant contact with the ground, are the wettest part of a building. But dampness is not destiny: with the right diagnosis and the right system, basements become dry, healthy spaces.

First, diagnosis: where does the water come from? Standing on the floor, rising on the walls, or leaking through a crack? The diagnosis determines the system.

Positive (exterior) insulation Applied on the soil side: bituminous membrane or crystalline material + drainage pipe + filter fill. The most correct solution for new builds or where excavation is possible.

Negative (interior) insulation When excavation is impossible, it is applied from inside. Köster crystalline systems work into the concrete's pores, forming micro-crystals that block the water's path; mineral renders support wet plaster areas.

Don't forget drainage Insulation blocks water; drainage collects and removes it. Planned together, basements dry permanently.

For basement, parking and retaining-wall insulation in Antalya we come for a survey with 30 years of experience, proposing Köster and Fosroc systems.
